Welcome

We will be contacting parents who have not returned the EOTC forms and the Computer use agreement.
Hillcrest School Swimming Sports
These will be held in our usual swimming time of 1.00 – 2.00 pm. If 1 March is wet we will have the sports on the next fine swimming day.
Bush Swimming sports for senior
Students only and is on Friday 4 March. You will be notified if your child is taking part. Help on the day from parents whose children are involved will be appreciated.
Sausage sizzle –
$1.50 for a sausage and bread on Wednesdays. Drinks are $1.00
Fish and chips are on Fridays.
Duffy Theatre
The show was a lot of fun and our students enjoyed participating.
Role Model Assembly
Is on the 23 March at 11.30 a.m. Our role model is Wayne Taylor. Wayne has been in the army for 17 years and is a PT instructor. He has been based at Linton since 2001. During his time in the army he has spent 7 months in East Timor on Peacekeeping duties.

Plastics:
Thank you to those families who have sold plastics already. If you return your order form and money the plastics will be given out. Extra order forms are available at the office. For those children who sell over $20 of plastics there will be a draw for prizes.
Computer and Internet Use Agreement
Has been sent home - please read and sign. Without the signed agreement at school the children will not be allowed to use the internet – which will be under supervision. If you do not agree please let the school know. We are going to have the system fire walled so students should not be able to access inappropriate sites.
A set of car keys has been handed into the school office – if you have misplaced yours we may have them!
Pahiatua Tennis Lessons
Sport Tararua & Manawatu Tennis are offering a 6 week course of tennis lessons. 23 Feb. first lesson. 4-4.30 children’s lessons
4.30-5 children’s lessons, 5-5.30 up skilling opportunity for teachers/parents.
At Tararua College courts, $2 per child each day. Contact Michelle Wallace on 06 374 4136 if interested.
We have spare children’s desks and chairs for sale. One desk and chair for $5. If you are interested contact the office.
School Contributions
For 2005 the contributions are set at $30 one child
$50 for families but if the contribution is paid by the end of the second term it will be $40 for a family. Thank you to the four families who have already paid.
Automatic payments may be set up to cover the contributions and also the technology fees for years 7 & 8. Technology is $30 for the year. Call into the office and see Joy if you wish to set up an automatic payment.
Our school, like a lot of others is under funded by the Government and we need your contribution.
